Lecture Programme
Our popular lecture programme features prominent speakers who are incredibly knowledgeable about their respective topics
The lectures take place on Wednesdays at 10.30am at our event venue, Suffield Park Bowls Club, in Cromer.
Autumn 2027 will comprise a series of eight talks by David Harper. David is a retired Professor of Ecology from the University of Leicester, living in Cromer. He brought students on residential field courses to Norfolk for several decades to study our county's marvellous nature and gave evening classes for adult students, now he will share his knowledge with you. Geology, habitats, communities, species of Norfolk and ancient woodlands will all feature in this series of talks.
Spring 2027 will start with a series of talks on Arts & Crafts Houses and Gardens by Andrew Sankey. Andrew is a garden designer and landscaper. Now based in Norwich, he has a particular interest in the cottage garden and the Arts & Crafts Movement and has lectured in this country and abroad. The talks will introduce famous designers such as William Morris, Gertrude Jekyll, Edwin Lutyens and Thomas Mawson.
